Forge Road Soup-er Bowl brings in 1, 422 items for the Caring Cupboard

Principal Jim Hale challenged the Forge students to beat their school record from two years ago of 812 items donated. Then he challenged them to reach 1, 000 items, and he would dye his goatee whatever color the team with the most items brought in would be. Then, gym teacher Ryan Brooks (who is a huge Eagles fan) jumped on the challenge and would dye his hair if Forge reached the 1, 000 goal. Late Thursday nurse Judy Robinson laid down the final challenge, by saying she would paint her face, if students could bring in items to get the Patriots to 300 and the Eagles to 1, 000, to make it to 1,300.

Friday morning students piled on more cans as Art teacher Nathan Carroll was arranging items for a picture, and the final total was announced 1, 422 items from Forge Road will be donated to the Caring Cupboard. Amazing outpouring from our Forge Family to our community! Thanks to all who donated!
