Palmyra's STEM team took home top honors

Palmyra’s own STEM team took home top honors during the fifth annual iu13 STEM Awards Banquet. The elementary division’s Tyler Frantz was named Elementary STEM Teacher of the Year, while the middle school’s Jeff Remington claimed Secondary STEM Teacher of the Year distinction.

Frantz and Remington were selected among a competitive field of nominees from the intermediate unit’s 22 school districts serving Lebanon and Lancaster Counties. This is the first year of Palmyra’s elementary and middle school STEM programs and a major accomplishment for the district.

Joining in the celebration include, from left to right, Assistant Superintendent Bernie Kepler, Middle School Principal Wally Popejoy, Jeff Remington, Tyler Frantz, Director of Elementary Education Anne Hoover, Supervisor of Instructional Technology & Online Learning Kim-Kathie Knudsen, and Superintendent Lisa Brown.
