2021 Prudential Spirit of Community Award - Students who have participated in a volunteer service activity in the past year may apply for a 2021 Prudential Spirit of the Community Award at or deadline to apply is November 10, 2020!

National Sojourners 2021 Essay Contest - National Sojourners, Inc. each year sponsors a patriotic essay contest for students in grades 9 through 12. Applicants must complete the Authorized Cover Sheet and submit their essay by December 1, 2020.

American Legion 2021 Oratorical Contest - The American Legion Oratorical Contest is open to any student presently enrolled in a high school in grades 9 through 12. See brochure for deadlines for submission and topics for oration. Students must submit an application to a local post for sponsorship by December 6.

American Legion 2021 Essay Contest - This year's Essay Contest title is: “WHAT DOES THE 26TH AMENDMENT MEAN TO ME?” Any student enrolled in grades 9 through 12 in a public, private or parochial school, or who is home schooled in Pennsylvania is eligible to participate. Essays must be submitted to a sponsoring or Local American Legion Post by January 9, 2021.

2021 PA Media Group Best & Brightest - The PA Media Group -- The Patriot-News and PennLive -- has launched the search for high school seniors to be named the Best and Brightest to represent the class of 2021. This is the 29th year honoring these exceptional students. All applications and essays are due Friday, March 5, 2021 Wednesday, March 10, 2021 (extended deadline), and should be submitted here:

Gettysburg College Second Annual Georges Lieber Essay Contest on Resistance - The Gettysburg College Judaic Studies committee is offering this essay contest for high school students. Four prizes will be awarded. The deadline to submit essays is March 29, 2021.
